ABOUT 06. Bid By Fax

About

Faxed bids are bids sent over a fax machine before the start of the auction.  Some people, particularly outside the USA, prefer faxing their bids.

Success Factors

  • Use our mail bid form if possible- but not required.
  • Write clearly.
  • Provide your contact information.
  • Please make sure you receive an acknowledgement of your bid from us. A successful transmission does not guarantee receipt

Gottchas

  • If you do not receive a receipt from us, we may not have your bid.
  • When sending multiple bids on the same lot, indicate New bid.
  • New Clients need references.

Faxing bids was popular a few years back, but with email availability, only a few clients send us bids by email – but we will still accept them.

If you fax – we will fax – communicating over the fax is not an issue for us.

What to Expect

Bidders will fax bids to 914.962.5885.  We will place the bids on the book and send you a confirmation either by email or fax.  If we have any questions, we will contact you.
